Very disappointed
Initially, I was happy with this. Worked well, looked and sounded good. I really liked the velcro wrap. But after having owned it for two months, one day I plugged in, and got no sound. I unplugged it from the guitar, and the jack quite literally fell apart on me. I contacted Amazon, but it was past the point where I could return it to them. So I contacted Hosa, and was told that yes, they would replace the cable, but I had to mail the bad cable to them before they would issue an RA, and they would not pay shipping. They are on the opposite side of the country from me, so shipping is a significant percentage of the cost of the cable itself. I would have been willing to try another cable from them, but with that sort of policy, I am definitely going to look elsewhere.

Look elsewhere
I had minimal use on this cable and it lasted about two weeks. As a kid with no money I always used the cheapest cables I could find, when they broke I would take them apart and solder them back together. You buy better stuff as you get older and wiser, I've used monster cables for about 15 years and never had a problem, I needed a cable in a hurry and didn't want to spend the money on one that wasn't going to see much action, I should have just spent the extra money. If you are looking for a cable I would look elsewhere, you get what you pay for.

Nice, quiet cables (but the jacket snags a little).
Pros:- These are a great cable in that the shielding is very good, and incurs no noise.- Hosa is thorough enough to include a small velcro wrap to keep the cable nicely coiled when not in use (very thoughful).- Finally, it is very attractive, and matches my vintage tweed tube amp quite nicely.Cons:- The jacket itself is fabric, so the wrong side of velcro (like the included velcro wrap) will cause it to fray a bit. It is not a coated tweed jacket like some of the pricier cables. Simply use a little care, though and it'll be fine.-The connectors are very solid, but because the connector housing is screw on, they can come unscrewed. If this is a problem, a little lock-tite on the threads will prevent this.Overall:For the money, these cables sound great, and (with a little care) will continue to look very nice. I've purchased this and the right angle version, and both are similarly solid.

Good cable, especially for Strat
I'm a relative beginner, but am taking weekly lessons where they asked me to bring my own cable. I was confused about straight vs. angled ends, coiled vs. straight, cloth vs. plastic, and especially what length to get. I ended up with this 18' tweed cable and am very happy. It looks and sounds nice. I was afraid it might be too long, but the length seems about right for home/lesson use. The price from Amazon was great for the quality (Prime included).I actually came back to buy another and couldn't find it for the same price. I found the angled version for a bit more and since that type is recommended for Les Paul types, I ordered that instead. You'll still want the straight connector to plug into a Strat, but in that case, just plug the angled connector into the amp or pedal.I own another shorter Hosa cable (non-tweed) that connects pedals to amp. It's plastic coated, but good quality and value, so that's why I looked at this one. I like the feel of the tweed for movable cables, so the extra for this one was worth it. For stationary connectors, you could go with plastic and save a few bucks.

Good cables with the added ruggedness of the covering.
I bought these as an upgrade from the cables that came with my guitar/amp combo kit. These are currently my best cables I own.I play strictly at home.I have had no issue with the cables disconnecting. The woven covering looks great, and will make them last longer (I'm hoping)! I've ran them over with my rolling office chair and absolutely nothing, they are solid.

Durable, quality and even looks cool.
takes about a week for it to lay straight after having been rolled and wrapped for who knows how long. It's a real pain during this time as it kinks up, binds, etc but give it 4 or 5 days to calm down and you'll love this braided style of cord. Best Advice - lay it out down the hallway when your not using it. It'll straighten out faster this way. Then when you wind it up.... well, surely you know how to wind cords by now LoL ;-)

Great cable
Looks good, works well, quite functional and nostalgic. There were several complaints about kinking easily, but this is solved by leaving the cable extended for a while so it can regain it's coiled memory. Then coil it in the diameter it wants to be coiled.

Love the cable, but didn't last long
This is the 2nd cable for me. The first one failed after about a year. Somewhere there was a loose connection. The quality of soldering on my first cable was in question.I really like these cables and the price. I decided to give it one more try, hoping that maybe my first one was just a lemon.

Must buy
Hosa Guitar Cables are by far the best cables I have ever used. They are durable and never wear out. I have used thousands of cables on tour but these suckers are always in the bag when I go home after every show!
