Fantastic
I am home based worker and spend about 60% of my time in teleconferences. I have tried (and returned) a few products supposed to improve the ease of conducting teleconferences over VOIP and Microsoft Lync. Some units were double the price of this unit but weren't great. I was starting to think that there was nothing that was going to meet my home office needs until I tried this speakerphone! If you are looking for a USB speakerphone, you need look no further. Hands-down this is the best product by a very long way!Good points:# true plug and play.# excellent speaker and mic quality... Fantastic actually (it has made it a big difference to my participation in teleconferences).# excellent volume with very rich sound.# amazingly sensitive mic (no complaints of metallic distortion from other meeting participants).# tap-touch volume control and mute button with nifty indicators to show volume and mute on.# feels well made and solid with non-slip base.# cord wraps around base for easy packing in the pouch it comes with.# it is small enough to be fully portable but probably not quite small enough to fit easily into a small laptop bag.Only one minor negative comment: the "answer" and "call end" buttons didn't automatically integrate with Lync on my pc and I have to use the traditional on-screen buttons. I understand that this can be corrected with a software install but I haven't bothered because I would have to get IT to install it. Very minor comment. UPDATE: my IT department installed the Jabra software. It works very well and connects seamlessly with Lync. You can even put participants on hold. i have had this product for several months and still love it.As it so happens, my company (7,000 staff, multinational) simultaneously ran a trial with the Jabra 410. They came to the same conclusion and the speakerphone is now available in all our conference rooms! If you have a lot of VOIP or lync conference calls, this speakerphone is for you. It is worth ever penny.

Excellent quality audio, integrates with internet voice app
I have used a variety of USB speakerphone products as part of my work, and also to have conversations with friends. I had been using a ClearOne Chat 50 which is small and has good features, but I found it did not integrate with my desktop voice application (VoIP) very well (I use CounterPath's Bria application on Windows). The product from Jabra is compliant to the HID standard which is also understood by Bria - what this means is I can answer calls, and hang them up by pressing the relevant place on the speakerphone, rather than using a mouse or the keyboard. This is handy as when a call somes in, its simple to answer or refuse it.The quality of the voice is excellent - and the speakerphone has a wide range of loudness - certainly better than the ClearOne I was using. It has visual feedback (LEDs on the circumference of the unit) telling you when the mic is muted, and how loud you have selected it to be (an increasing set of white dots light up round the edge of the unit). You can adjust the volume by simply tapping on one or the other side of the unit (- and + symbols for lower/higher volume). The USB cable wraps neatly round the base of the unit, and the USB plug itself clicks into position under the unit which stops it hanging free and getting tangled. It comes with a soft zip pouch for travel purposes.Overall, very happy with the quality of the build and performance of the product. Works with standard VoIP products like Bria, XLite etc, and also Skype (its just a mic and speaker to Windows) - though Skype does not understand HID so you cannot answer or hangup calls from the unit, you have to use Skype itself.

Fantastic Product - Don't Hesitate, Buy It
I purchased this for use in an offsite board meeting at a hotel which wanted to charge us £45 per day for use of a "proper" telephone speakerphone and 50p/minute for outgoing calls. We use GoToMeeting for our teleconferencing to link in participants from UK, USA and Malaysia and you can either use a dial-in number or use laptop mic and speakers or a headset and mic attached to your laptop.Using laptop speakers and mic is not suitable for a meeting scenario and neither is a headset. The Jabra Speak 410 worked brilliantly. Just as good as a "proper" speakerphone using the telephone network, but using hotel wifi instead (which can often be flaky, let's be honest). Volume was more than loud enough for six people sitting around a meeting table, and our colleague in Malaysia had no problems at all in hearing us.Don't hesitate. Just buy it if this is what you need. It is equally good in a small office for one to one usage instead of a headset as well as in a medium sized conference room for six to eight people. You might need a short USB extension cable to place it in the right position in the room as the supplied cable is only about 75cm long. It is truly plug and play as well, as long as your PC is fairly recent. No problems on Windows 7 for me. Haven't tried it on XP but should work fine, I guess.
