It's fine so far. The pump itself is VERY quiet, but the water trickling is loud and distracting, especially at night. My cats haven't actually used it yet, so I can't attest to how much they like it, but it's only been set up for a couple of days now & I'm hoping they use it once they get more used to it. Assembly was easy enough and all the parts were there, though the little impeller would NOT come out no matter what I did, & the instructions explicitly said to clean that separately, so I rinsed it really well and I'm hoping that was enough to get the job done.Overall it's just fine so far. I might return it if my cats don't show interest in a couple days, if only because the water trickling is the worst part about it.EDIT:I am very impressed by the promptness and quality of the customer service for this product. The team reached out within the span of a couple days and offered me a full refund without returning the fountain. I sat on the offer for a minute because I wanted to give the product an honest go, and I'm very glad I did.The water noise did take some getting used to, but I hardly notice it now that I've grown used to it. The pump is still quiet, and I only notice it when the water level gets to the minimum marker—which is honestly helpful because it reminds me to add more and change the filter.Not that the pump noise happens often, because it doesn't; the water level indicator is great. I really didn't think it would make much of a difference to me to be able to visibly note the water level, but it's a real game changer and I SUPER appreciate the ability to take a glance and know whether or not I have to refill it.My cats took about a week to warm up to it, but they LOVE it now and use it often (I have 5, so the fact that they all like it is pretty impressive). They share it well — the design is nice, it doesn't take up much counter space and allows two of them to use it comfortably at once (and would probably have room for two more if the cats actually liked each other enough to sit beside one another).So far I've been impressed with how clean the stainless steel has remained and how well the filter works.Overall, I'm really impressed with the product itself and the quality of the customer service. I didn't end up taking the refund because I really am very pleased with it; I think it's the nicest fountain I've had to date (& with five cats, you tend to go through a few fountains). Definitely recommend.

The build is good quality! Not flimsy - good stainless steel. I only wish the wire coming from the motor was in the back of the motor instead of the front – it awkwardly has to bend backward to exit through the back of the bowl. But it’s not an issue at all. Setup was easy. Unfortunately I can’t get my cats to drink from it yet. I’m glad the light has a switch. When it’s on, it’s cool because it only illuminates the water so it’s easy to see the water level through the little window. I can hear the water dribbling just a little bit, but it’s actually rather pleasant. The motor is completely silent so long as the water level is high enough. If the motor gets exposed, then I think you can hear it more. But it’s still quiet. I’ll be curious to see how it holds up over time.

Got the Veken stainless steel pet water fountain 2 weeks ago. It appears to be made very well, is sturdy, and looks nice! It is super quiet, nice looking, easy to assemble when following the directions, easy to clean, and my cat seems to really like it! She no longer goes into my shower waiting for my faucet to slowly drip water. I always have a fresh bowl of water out for her as well as the fountain.I would recommend going ahead and ordering extra filters to have on hand. I highly recommend getting this water fountain! It took Lucy about 4 days to get comfortable having it around then got brave enough to use it. It takes her a while to get used to new things. (Took her months to finally use her fuzzy bed!)

Update: Soon after I posted my review the seller reached out to me letting me know that this fountain has a 2 year warranty and offering to replace the motor or refund the fountain. They then issued a refund right away. By this point I had already replaced the motor, and the fountain is working fine. While it was disappointing to have the fountain fail so soon, it was refreshing to see the seller stand so securely behind their product. I will wait to see how long this motor lasts and then decide whether to replace the fountain, as replacing the motor every couple months might not be cost efficient. That being said, I do like the fountain enough that I might consider replacing the motor once or twice a year if I do not come across a more reliable one. I have another fountain whose motor failed after about 6 months, but that one has less capacity and seems less sturdy overall. I am starting to wonder whether the more expensive fountains would have more longevity, but based on the reviews, it seems like they all have issues after a period of time. Given all of that I am updating my review from 2 stars to 4.My cat and I both loved the fountain until it stopped working after only 3 months, despite being cleaned and having filters replaced every other week and using only filtered water. Such a disappointment given that the quality of the stainless steel is very nice, and we had no issues with noise or performance until it just up and died.

We adopted a kitten at the end of February. We wanted him to have clean fresh filtered water. I ran the main components through the dishwasher prior to use. Assembly was really easy, and I soaked/rinsed the filters before use. I wasn't sure if our kitty would like the fountain, so I also set out a water dish just in case. Once he got acclimated to his new home he went straight to the fountain for a drink. Since we only have the one kitty, I empty the water out and wash it with hot soapy water every 2 weeks. This fountain comes with water 2 filters and 2 filters for the pump. When it came time to buy more filters, I bought the 8 pack that comes with the 2 little scrub bushes. We drink purified water, so I added 4 16-ounce bottles before plugging it in. We check the water level in the lighted sight glass every day or two and add more water as needed. Would highly recommend this product.
